Gerald & Brenda Fluerty : Owners of Wildside Hunting Safaris Ltd (NZ)
Gerald is a very experienced, passionate and successful hunter on a private level and has been involved professionally off and on for over 30 years. Gerald comes from many generations of professional hunters, in fact the first of the Fluerty's living in New Zealand in the early 1800s where professional hunters. With generations of hunters behind Gerald, you could say being a hunter is not what he does but what he is. Gerald's skills as an experienced hunting guide coupled with a passion for making his hunter's dreams come true makes for an experience never to be forgotten. Hunting with a rifle, bow or camera Gerald just loves being out in the wild sharing his extensive knowledge of hunting and understanding of game animals and New Zealand's native flora and fauna.

Brenda was raised in the country and very much enjoys hosting hunters and their families. Brenda has a passion for making guests feel at home with wonderfull home cooked meals and care that only camp mom can provide. Brenda loves country music, skiing and listening to the hunting tales being told around the dinner table at the end of a day out in the bush.

Ezra Fluerty: Hunting guide
Oldest son of Gerald and Brenda, Ezra's been involved with Wildside Hunting Safaris ever since he was able to carry a rifle. Learning the ropes at a young age Ezra hunts beyond his years and many hunters have appreciated his knowledge of both the deer, their habitat and his ability as a hunting guide. Ezra's passion for hunting and experience with both the bow and the rifle enables him to guide hunters to the trophy of their dreams.

Bret Soverel: Land owner (Wildside's top bowhunting property), helicopter pilot and Specialist bowhunting guide.
Bret is a native of Florida USA now living here in New Zealand along with his family. He has a full on personality that reflects through everything he does. Bowhunting is Bret's passion and has for many years hunted both the USA and NZ with compound and recurve bows. Bret's experience as a guide and a prolific bowhunter enables him to give hunters an “up close encounter” on any trophy species found in New Zealand. Like Gerald, Bret also enjoys hunting with the rifle especially in the South Island for the alpine species.

Brent Bishop: Landowner/hunting guide
Brent along with his wife Noelene own Lahar Farm incorporating the Black Forest Trophy Hunting Park. Brent, having done his time in the RNZAF as an aircraft engineer, is now working on the land. Brent has been involved with hunting all of his adult life. Starting with recreational hunting on both North and South Islands for species like tahr and chamois, red and sika deer. Brent holds a record for having shot one of New Zealand's biggest bull tahr. Brent also owns one of New Zealand's best trophy sika hunting areas, the Black Forest. Having survived the days of hunting from helicopters and catching wild deer for the farming industry back in the 70s, Brent has a wealth of knowledge which he draws on when guiding hunters.

Kevin Watson: Bowhunting guide/archery technical service expert.
Kevin along with his wife Carol own Advanced Archery, a very busy little archery shop based in Auckland. Having been involved with bowhunting for close to 30 years, Kevin's passion is for bowhunting and delights in guiding a number of bowhunters each year. Kevin also takes care of all of Wildside's archery needs. Offering a service second to none Kevin can fix bows, supply most archery products needed for a successful hunt with Wildside.

Steve Barry: Trout fishing guide/owner of Greenstone Fishing.
Steve along with his wife Angela run a fantastic little business based
at Taupo. With over 30 years of fishing experience on all the rivers
and lakes in the Taupo region along with owning a tackle shop full of
everything anglers will ever need Steve takes Wildside's clients on
their most memorable fishing adventures. Steve is also a very keen
hunter and enjoys keeping the freezer topped up with not only fish but
also venison. Let Steve take you where the native forests join the
